Kapihan sa Diliman, an initiative organized by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA); Diliman Learning Resource Center (DLRC) tutors and support personnel; and the scholars of the University Student Council (USC) and the UP BreaD Society, successfully offered an alternative 24/7 safe, FREE, air conditioned, conducive, and emotionally supportive study space on May 16 to 24, 2018. This was specifically geared to provide scholars an overnight place to comply with their final requirements and examination preparations. Kapihan sa Diliman Midyear 2018 provided tutorials for Chemistry and Math; Wi-Fi; printing; refreshments of arroz caldo, champorado and coffee; and shuttle services from residence halls to the DLRC. This Kapihan service has benefited hundreds of students on a daily basis. Special thanks are accorded to Chancellor Michael Lim Tan, Ignacio B. Gimenez Foundation with Mr. Lito and Mrs. Gina Bermudo.
